Reminded me of the mantra in Battlestar Galactica: 'All this has happened before, and all this will happen again', which of course is not an encouraging statement. My unbalanced cynic reverts to that ground where imagination is weary and worn out because it does seem to all repeat. Yet, within in me is the voice of hope, the Holy Spirit's unwavering imagination, ever whispering, "Imagine this: Jesus is greater than inevitability; in him all things are evitable as well as possible."

I'll stand with you Brian. I'm ready to imagine the kingdom breaking in on the earth ... since it is anyway.
