The above observations ever hold true.

In Christian terms, treatment of domestic enemies (criminals) should evoke "love": a constant move to make the enemy a friend.

The current government under Harper consistently points in the opposite direction, namely of "enemizing the other", not embracing the enemy (while holding the criminal responsible for righting harms done).

Canadian crime policy has lost its Christian way.
