A poem for the fourth Sunday of Advent, A poem for Peace.
Calm the voices \ quiet the sounds,
Christ is with us \ and Grace abounds.
Settle the sorrows \ still the soul,
Love is here \ and close to know.
Let it linger \ in the air,
God is coming \ low to care.
Revealing beauty \ declaring worth,
Love has come \ to all the Earth.
Like a mother\ bringing peace,
Love is mighty \ and will not cease.
Slowly teaching \ throughout all time,
The humble joy \ of Love divine.
As every child \ then and now,
Enthrones the Godhead \ again somehow.
