A soft snow fell steady this week,
adding layer after layer of winter-white
over trees, and sidewalks and city streets.
Over all things left unsheltered.
A gentle blanket of warmth was given,
a covering of comfort and care
for anything left opened
and exposed.
I watched in wonder
at the capacity of Creation
to touch and to welcome everything
with Beauty and Love.
